This will align the cross-hairs of the scope to the spot where the barrel is pointing at a particular distance. Because of variations in the trajectory of ammunition and other factors the bore-sighted rifle will probably not shoot to the exact spot that the cross-hairs indicate. Concealed Carry Classes
Backwater Guns & Outfitters-Backwater Guns offers the North Carolina Concealed Carry Course every six weeks, and the course is always held on Sunday. The fee for the course is $100, and at the end of the course you will receive a certificate of completion that allows you to apply within the county you reside. Gun Cleaning
Part of proper firearms maintenance is proper cleaning on a regular basis as well as after firing. Come to Backwater Guns & Outfitters for a thorough cleaning using top-of-the-line technology. Our cleaning process includes:
- Completely disassembling gun
- Providing ultrasonic and hand cleaning
- Reassembling gun
- Ensure the firearm is properly lubricated
Any gun brought in that’s antique in nature will be hand cleaned due to the sensitivity of the wood furniture. In many instances breaking down and removing the wood can result in cracking of the pieces and or screws being stripped.
We clean all types of pistols, rifles, shotguns and tactical firearms. Ultrasonic technology is used to clean and lube firearms. Firearms are usually ready for pick up in a couple of business days.

Selective Gunsmithing
At Backwater Guns & Outfitters, we know how important it is to maintain your firearms in top firing condition. Our staff consists of both a certified AR Armorer and a certified Glock armorer. We are fully capable of breaking down, diagnosing, and repairing these weapons for you. If we can’t offer what you need, we will gladly help you find the right gunsmith or assist you in sending your firearm to the manufacturer for warranty work.

Transfers
Backwater Guns & Outfitters will be happy to transfer any non-NFA item for a fee of $40.00. Please contact our store prior to the transfer, and we will gladly submit all paperwork and information to the transferring party. We also assist in the transfer and and extensive paperwork required for NFA items. Our NFA transfer fee is $150.00.
